Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. Company Policies

In "Our House", we foster an environment of care and excellence - these are the principles that grew Ray’s reputation into what it is today. Care first comes for the client - the home they worked so hard to earn. We will treat each home as if it were our own - because that is what excellence means to our clients.

Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. has a long-standing reputation for conducting their business activities in accordance with ethical principles. This reputation is one of the pillars of Ray’s success, and preserving it is one of our highest priorities.

This Code of Conduct, in conjunction with any applicable contractual agreement, reflects our standards and expectations of our subcontractors, suppliers and other vendors (collectively, “Partners”). These standards apply to all third parties that provide goods or services to Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. and their owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and others working on their behalf. Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. reserves the right to modify this Code of Conduct from time to time. Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. reserves the right to audit adherence to this Code of Conduct at any time and without prior notification or to have adherence audited by independent third parties. If Partners discover any violations of applicable law or this Code of Conduct, they must inform Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. of such discovery immediately. • General Principles:

    • Business Partners shall comply with legislated laws in the country, state and localities where they transact business. Furthermore, Partners are expected to demonstrate honesty and fairness in all aspects of their business activities.

  • Conflicts of Interest:

    • A conflict of interest exists when personal interest(s) interferes in any way with the interests of Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. Partners must avoid and disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest in their dealings with Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc.

  • Cleanliness:

    • Each individual working on our jobsites is responsible for cleaning up their work area at the end of each day. “Broom swept condition” is acceptable during the project, but upon completion of work everyone is expected to create a safe, clean, and ready environment for the next phase of construction. We don't pass the buck. As a subcontractor it is your responsibility to clearly define what your price is for the scope of work you are performing. Every bid must include basic services like cleaning up debris, reporting errors, haul off and material handling as needed.

  • Communication

    • Each individual responsible for reporting regular jobsite activities must clearly communicate when they will be arriving at the jobsite and after they have left the jobsite. Our clients expect us to let them know when people will be at their home. A range is perfectly acceptable to communicate and gives us enough detail to put the client’s mind at ease. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of subcontractors to outline the scope and cost of ALL change orders BEFORE work is performed. We reserve the right to reject payment of any change order the details of which were not reported to us in the manner described here.

  • Professionalism/Integrity

    • Arranging side work. Using foul language. Smoking and leaving trash on the jobsite fall under this category. Professionalism is expected on all jobsites at all time - if we have to remind you then we are not a good fit for each other.

  • Payments

    • Partners may get paid no sooner than 15-days after the final completion of their work and a final invoice has been submitted. No exceptions. We must be given time to perform an inspection of your work before payment. In most cases final payment will not be submitted until inspection is passed by either our project management team or a government official.

  • Reporting

    • All Partners are required to regularly report the status of their license(s), general liability and workman’s compensation insurance and to add “Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc.” as “additional insured” on their policy. Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. requires Partners to ensure safe working processes, appropriate controls, and preventive maintenance in order to minimize health and safety risks at the workplace. In doing so, Business Partners are expected to evaluate production processes and machinery for health and safety hazards. The impact of identified hazards must be minimized by implementing emergency procedures. All health and safety incidents related to projects, workplaces or construction sites must be reported to Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. immediately. At RCR, Inc. we hold ourselves and our subcontractors to the highest level of professionalism and accountability. We hope you will help us foster and uphold these principles on all of our jobsites.

Leave No Trace Policy

Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. is committed to being a premier contractor in South Central Kentucky and North Nashville. In order to maintain our reputation for professionalism and excellence - Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. will enforce a “Leave No Trace” Policy.

What does this mean for subcontractors?

All subcontractors of Ray’s Construction and Rehab, Inc. must, at a minimum, leave every jobsite in broom swept condition at the end of each working day. Once work is completed, each subcontractor is required to perform a full-cleaning of the jobsite to remove all dust and debris. It is the responsibility of each individual trade to clean up the debris or mess created by their work. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in back charging for clean-up - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Further violations of this policy will result in the subcontractor being dismissed from the jobsite.

We are committed to fostering and maintaining excellence in all aspects of our work and thank you for helping to create a culture of individual accountability on our jobsites.
